You Are Loved!

Rejoice Wonderful Women! It is Wednesday,

It is our special time of the week. Take a break to appreciate the good in you and most importantly to celebrate the One who loved you first and continues to love you best! Sit back, take a deep breath. For the next few minutes allow yourself the space and time to sit quietly, as you settle into the pattern of your breathing think about at least one good thing about yourself. This week I am going to challenge you to go beyond the surface observations to dig deep. Yes, your curls are popping. Yes, that is the perfect shade of red lipstick for your skin tone. Of course you have on the perfect pumps today. You are fierce like that. I am challenging you to think about your gifts and talents. The challenge is to think about who are you when you come home. After your hair is twisted, after you have washed your face and put on the comfy at home clothes. Who are you when the world is not looking? That woman needs to be acknowledged and celebrated!

Many of us find quiet time uncomfortable because it gives us far too much time to re-check the “if I could have, I would have” (then you fill in the blank with missed opportunities) or the “I should have” (then you fill in the blank with the decisions you should have made, the choices you should not have made) lists. Please, gracious women stop. Use the time wisely; you already know what you did. Beating yourself down does not change your story. Measuring yourself by your past is not an effective way to live your today. Instead use the quiet time to imagine what you have yet to do.

You came through all of the hard decisions and choices-maybe you call them test and trials, because you made the best decision you could at the time. Maybe your choices created storms that you did not anticipate causing you to navigate some dark waters. Whatever you call how you experienced life, you came through it perfectly positioned for the next chapter of your story equipped to succeed. While you are in that quiet place thinking, you will realize there is a lot you have been doing right. That is why it is important to make time to appreciate ourselves where we are today. It is easy to get lost in the chaos of need. You need to answer that email; you need to attend the meeting. You need to pick up the children. You need to check on your neighbor. You need to go to the store. The faster the current of chaos, the less you feel you are doing. Your growth, development and accomplishments can become hard to see behind your long to do list.

When you take the time to sit quietly you will hear it, Shhh! There! Did you hear it; the invitation to worship. Your Dad wants to remind you of your value and worth. The list He wants to share with you is more productive because He will show you that He was and will always be with you. He will show you the victorious woman you are. He will lovingly remind you that in spite of everything you are loved. You are glorious and you have purpose. He wants to share more of His plan for you. It is through worship that you will begin to understand more about that plan; the images will begin to take shape becoming less dreamy. You will find yourself walking out of the dream into your vision armed with a plan of action. That is a place of celebration!

Wonderful Women don’t forget to encourage another sister to celebrate her good qualities. Celebrate the good in her until she is able to do it on her own.

It’s all ‘bout love,

Trudy
