Answer The Call!

Rejoice! Wonderful Women, It’s Wednesday,

We have all sorts of reasons to celebrate, every day, every month. I know it has been “a minute” since we were together but nothing has changed-you know what to do. Put things on hold for a few minutes, close your office or bedroom door, mute the TV because it is time, our time, to celebrate! Ready? Take a minute or two to think about you-find something good about you. Get it in your mind, acknowledge it. Come on, we all have at least one kind thing we can say to or about ourselves. Maybe you aced that test you were so worried about, perhaps you facilitated a productive meeting? That is worth celebrating. Maybe you appreciate your creativity, have a great smile, or simply feel good after a night’s rest? Celebrate! Give yourself the hug and pat on the back you deserve. Then thank your Father for creating you to be the unique person that you are. Thank Him for loving you first, best and always. Take a few minutes to check in with Him to say thank you and I love you.

Don’t worry about His response, you will be received in His perfect love. In that split second the father daughter relationship is strengthened. This is where you will be able to let go to allow God to talk to you, share more of His plan for you. You will be able to share anything and everything with your Father in that personal space. Take the time to let Him know how much you appreciate all of your good qualities. The smile you are celebrating? It is because you have your Father’s smile. Thank Him. The productive meeting was because you learned to lead with your Father’s heart. That refreshing night of rest is because you went to bed understanding your Dad was watching over you and your family.

For those of you wondering how I am able to talk about creativity or encourage a celebration during times such as these, or if I am aware of the serious global issues; let me assure you I am keenly aware how critical the times are for everyone. The affects will be felt long after this is over. And it will end. We are seeing the good in people all around the world, strangers dropping off food, offering to pick up medicines, neighbors coming together at an appointed time to share music from their porches or yards. Families are sharing virtual meals to stay connected. Teachers doing everything they can to make sure their students stay excited to learn with impromptu neighborhood visits, driving through to wave at their students or standing on curbs to exchange smiles and air hugs. At the same time, we are witnessing the hidden motives and agendas of others who seek to extort the needs of others for profit. We are on information overload from every media vehicle. Stress levels are high to say the very least.

Still, in the midst of the measured lines, testing, fact checking, hourly updates, and distancing I am going to encourage you to go to that place that is higher than you or me to understand our Father’s will during this time. I am encouraging everyone to invest the time it takes to re-charge in praise and worship when you feel weary or heavy. Take advantage of the small pockets of time that show up throughout the day to re-calibrate your soul with the Word. Invest the time in yourself to do something nice for yourself. I understand that we are limited in how we move right now which means it is harder to find a quiet place but Wonderful Women you are some of the most creative people I know. You will create the opportunity and find the space.

I am excited to see that during the increased time at home many of you are answering the call of your vision. Some are back in school, some have launched a business, many are discovering gifts and talents. Good for you! To God be the glory! Wonderful Women keep moving forward don’t stop until you have achieved your goals! Then, dream some more. Birth more visions.

Connect with another wonderful woman to help her celebrate. Encourage her to sit still to hear her call.

It’s all ‘bout love,

Trudy
