Let's Celebrate!

Rejoice! Wonderful Women, Rejoice!

We are starting the celebration a day early because this is a special day, WWW is 16 years old!

In general this is always a reflective time of year for me but as I looked back over the last sixteen years I am amazed and humbled about the journey of Wonderful Women Wednesday. We have grown, stretched and changed but the message has not changed. We all have some wonderful qualities. We all have purpose, dreams, drive and a destiny. We are worth the investment of time to move in those areas. God does have a plan for each of us. He does have our best interest in mind at all times. In sixteen years all of us have covered some rough patches in life, me included. We survived those difficult times to become stronger and wiser which gave us more reasons to celebrate. In sixteen years we have enjoyed some wonderful events in our lives, me included. We enjoyed the sunshine of progress. We celebrated personal growth and awareness. In good times and bad many of us have learned to past the obvious to see God in the mix. He continues to be there no matter what, no matter whom, no matter when. As we learned to become comfortable investing time in ourselves we understood that it was not about being selfish but it was about becoming available to the One who loves us first and best. We learned that the investment of time refuels our spirit man and energizes our natural man.

Many of us learned or perhaps were reminded that slowing down for a few minutes was all it takes to receive an invitation to spend some precious one on one time with our Dad in worship. In that time we have discovered that He has some awesome plans for each of us. He loves us, always has, always will. We have come to understand that His love is not predicated on all the good choices we make. It was not a provisional love-if you do this or say that, go here and not there then I will measure out some love. He loves us. No strings attached. It is in that realization that many of us have been empowered to accept the assignment that is specific to each of us.

Some of us have been together from the very first email and I have witnessed our growth. Business plans have been finalized, degrees have been earned, career changes have occurred. You have no idea how blessed I feel to walk with phenomenal woman pursing their passion! We have encouraged each other, cried with each other and challenged each other to keep growing, to keep moving toward our goals. We have and often still do rejoice with each other as goals are achieved. Thank you for not letting me give up (you know we all have those days) when I wondered about next steps. Thank you for encouraging me-even when the encouragement was wrapped in some point blank truth.

Wonderful Women no matter how long you have been in this fellowship I want to encourage you that God does love you more than you know. He has an assignment that requires your hands to complete the task. He is not concerned about your past. Truthfully, what you went through can be used by Him to bring others along. He is not bothered by the scars life left behind because those healed places indicate a strong survivor. Don’t think so? Ask Thomas.

It is important to you and those around you that you take care of yourself by doing things for yourself that allows you to catch even a small glimpse of your possibilities which in turn will spark your passion to keep walking toward your destiny.

Happy birthday Wonderful Women! Rejoice It’s all ‘bout love,

Trudy
