Celebrate Your Growth!

Rejoice Wonderful Woman, Its’ Wednesday!

It is our time to celebrate! I understand this is the time of year we begin to feel a little dreary because it is cold and rainy or cold and snowy and then things change up and the day is full of sunshine and warmer air but you know it could turn back to cold and icy at any given hour of the day. Raise your hand if at some point during the winter you wondered if Mother Nature was having a personal summer day during those outbursts of frigid temperatures? If you were like me that was the only reason you could imagine why or how it was so cold. Oh good I heard a few of you giggle, I am not the only one!

Just when we were getting used to one of those combinations the weather calmed down a little and before we knew it the winds announced March. With that announcement the winds of change began to blow. Sometimes the change is a matter of all day breeziness. Some days the changes are pelting rains with forceful winds. You cannot breathe walking into the wind and you cannot run fast enough with the storm pushing your back. Dealing with the extreme temperatures does make it difficult to celebrate; but there is cause for celebration Wonderful Women!

Our lives are much like the changing weather or like the seasons intruding on one another. Sometimes hot, sometimes cold. We start to bud, showing signs of growth and then the heavy rains of indecision whip us around until we are water logged. Our budding dreams suffer damage from the back and forth motions in the midst of arctic air excuses. After one or two of those storms our energies are spent, leaving us with little hope that we can survive another round let alone bloom.Only time will tell what we will yield.

We have seasons that we are doing exactly the right things. The temperatures are just right which allows the out of sight growth to happen. Like a plant during the growing season we develop roots that dig deep into the ground to create a firm foundation as we dig deeper in the Word. We sense the warmth of the ground which awakens the desire to get to know God better or in a different way. A shift in the seasons begins the quest to know more, see more, and be more in Christ. This shift causes our root system begins to spread out looking for nourishment. We attach ourselves to a study group, conference call or prayer group to help us grow stronger. There it is Wonderful Women, see it? There is your reason to celebrate! Answering the call to prayer, worship or study puts you in a place of intimate fellowship with your heavenly Father.

Every time we respond to the invitation to worship we have the opportunity to grow. Every time we meet God for a heart to heart talk/prayer, we gain strength to blossom. We grow away from the need to do some of the things that kept our roots bound. We grow up a little more as we develop a better sense of understanding of who God is and who we are in Him. We grow out to help another Wonderful Woman realize no matter what it looks like she does have a reason to celebrate.

Its’ all ‘bout love,

Trudy
