A Worthy Fight

Rejoice Wonderful Women Rejoice! It is Wednesday,

It is time for our celebration! If you are new to WWW, welcome, welcome, welcome! We are glad you could join the fellowship. What are we celebrating? You and your wonderful qualities, talents and gifts, the great things that have/are happening in your life and most importantly, God, who loves you like no other! It is also a time to give your-self permission to re-charge or make a very definite effort to schedule time to do something nice to or for you.

Take a minute to think about something good about yourself. Maybe you like your smile, perhaps you appreciate your patience, you lost five pounds; we all have something. It may feel a little awkward at first and that is okay, typically we are not wired to think about ourselves first but try, dig deep. It is there. Maybe you are feeling like “what’s the point? I have been through too much?” My sister, please take this time to really think about what you have been through yet here you are, still standing! Perhaps your good thing is resilience? Make that your celebration this week-“I’m still standing”! Take a minute or two to appreciate that quality then thank your Father for that good quality. If you are willing to allow yourself a few more minutes you will begin to flow from thanksgiving into praise and then into worship! It is hard to think about one thing without other things coming to mind. Go for it! It’s your time, it’s YOUR celebration!

We deal with so many things in the course of a week that by the time we get to the end of the week we are often wondering if it is worth the fight, am I worth the fight. After a rough day at work you wonder is there something better? After another argument you wonder what did I say or do to deserve the heat. Living with your past as if it just happened, you wonder how to make it stop. Maybe these scenarios are not you but whatever has you wondering, whatever distracts you from your purpose, are reasons why taking the time to re-charge is important. That dedicated time allows you the opportunity to get in the presence of your Dad. You can tell Him any and everything without being interrupted, without being told how to feel, without compartmental judgments.

He receives your words but He is listening to your heart. He speaks to your heart from His heart. He breathes life into those dry places. He fills your dark places with light. It is not a one way conversation (aka talking to yourself LOL) but if you are not in a hurry, if you rest in that quiet place to re-charge, He will speak to you. He will give you more of His plans for you. He will answer some of your questions. God will remind you that because you are His unique creation you most certainly are worth the fight. You will come away from your time with your Father understanding that it is worth the fight because you have an assignment that must be fulfilled.

It’s all ‘bout love,

Trudy
